About

I'm Lisa Patten — coach, educator, and mother of two young adults.

I’m passionate about helping parents, teens, young adults and families navigate life's challenges while building deeper connection.

Finding the right support can be challenging. That’s why I’m committed to meeting you where you are - working together to create strategies that genuinely fit your life, your family, and your goals.

In our work together, you'll discover how to:

- Recognize and build on your strengths and resources

- Understand habits that no longer serve you - and replace them with ones that do

- Explore why we (and our parents/children) behave the way we do sometimes - and what can help when things feel stuck

- Develop new tools and strategies that support you

My Background

I'm a certified coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a certified ADHD coach, blending current neuroscience with practical, compassionate coaching strategies. My approach draws on training in NLP, wellbeing, and trauma-informed practices.

I spent over 20 years leading project management, change implementation, and simplification initiatives in the corporate world - a time that also gave me a deep understanding of the challenges of being a working parent. These skills and experience shape how I design programs and resources for busy individuals and families.

My work isn’t just professional - it’s deeply personal.
As a mother of two young adults, I know firsthand the challenges of raising teenagers and navigating the constantly shifting dynamics of family life.

The lack of relevant, accessible support during that time fuels my passion today: creating coaching experiences and developing programs that offer both practical tools and a sense of connection.

"It is only through connecting with ourselves that we can be free to truly connect with others" - Lisa

My Approach

I believe the key to lasting change lies in compassion, communication, and connection — with ourselves, our families and those around us.

Whether you choose to join me through 1:1 coaching or one of my upcoming group programs, we’ll go on a journey of discovery together — reconnecting you with what matters most and offering a fresh perspective on any challenges you’re facing.

At the heart of my group programs for parents is the LEAN IN approach — a supportive, structured framework that begins by helping you understand yourself more deeply, before turning toward your relationships with new insight, calm, and clarity.

Most importantly, I’m passionate about creating a space where you feel seen, supported, and equipped with tools and resources that work for you.

My Personal Life

When I'm not supporting you....

You'll often find me outdoors — hiking, gardening, walking with our three dogs, or spending time with my husband and daughters.

I'm always learning, whether through courses related to my work or something that pushes me out of my comfort zone such as (most recently) archery and indoor bouldering.

I also love getting creative with hands-on projects like mosaics or painting and I treasure opportunities to travel - both to new places and also returning to favourites such as the UK and Shetland Islands where there are strong family connections.

Originally from the UK, we now live in the Dandenong Ranges outside Melbourne along with 3 dogs, a cat and a number of chickens.
